Options

Different needs. Different options.

Treatment is planned around what is missing and what matters to you. These are the routes a consultation may explore.

  1. A single missing tooth

An implant with an individual crown to replace that one tooth.

Ask about how the crown is cleaned and reviewed over the years.

  2. Several missing teeth

Individual implants, or an implant-supported bridge across a gap, may be discussed.

Ask about how many implants a plan would need, and how that affects cost and care.

  3. Most or all teeth missing

Full-arch options need careful assessment. Two quite different approaches may be compared:

    Fixed
A full-arch restoration attached to implants that stays in place.
    Removable
An implant-retained denture that you take out to clean.

Ask about which approach suits your bone, routine and budget.

Implants are not right for everyone. Bridges, dentures or other alternatives may be appropriate, and a consultation compares what suits you rather than assuming implants.

Steps

Understand the steps ahead.

Timing is personal, so there is no fixed schedule here. Ask how each stage would fit your plan.

  1. 01

    Assessment

Your dental health, bone and goals are checked, with imaging when appropriate.

  2. 02

    Planning

Options, risks, costs and sequence are explained, with timing personal to you.

  3. 03

    Placement and healing

Implants are placed, then heal with aftercare. Temporary teeth may be used where appropriate; they are not the final restoration.

  4. 04

    Final restoration and follow-up

After healing, a crown, bridge or denture is fitted, followed by ongoing cleaning and review.

FAQs

Common questions, short answers.

Am I suitable for dental implants?

Only a clinical assessment can tell. It considers your dental and general health, bone and goals, and alternatives may be recommended. Like any treatment, implants carry risks that should be explained before you decide, and results vary.

What will it cost?

Cost depends on your plan: how many teeth, which restoration and any treatment needed first. Ask for a personalised quote and what it includes.

Will I have teeth during healing?

Temporary teeth may be possible during healing, depending on your assessment. They are not the final restoration, which follows once healing allows.

How do I care for implants?

Implants need daily cleaning and regular reviews, much like natural teeth. Your dental team can explain an aftercare routine for your restoration.
